Pure Weinrich Gold!

There’s a lot of clutter out there in the world of podcasting. But there is also pure gold! I encourage everyone to watch or listen to the Rev. Dr. William Weinrich’s 2.75 hour presentation on the On the Line video podcast.

If time is an issue, you can break it up. You can also speed it up by a factor of 1.25 and it will still sound conversational - especially if you are used to speeding up podcasts.

If you have not heard Dr. Weinrich speak, you are in for a treat! And if you have the privilege - as I did nearly a quarter century ago - to sit in his classroom, you will have flashback to some of the best and most profound theological insights of your life! I just finished this presentation, and I am ready to give it a second listen. I don’t believe Dr. Weinrich is using any notes. He simply knows this material that well, and presents it with clarity.

Dr. Weinrich reflects on the early Church and its connection to our cultural and Christian life today, and especially as seen through his beloved Gospel of John - of which he is one of the world’s leading scholars (and the author of the Concordia Commentary on John, volumes One and Two - with the third on the way, as well as the Ancient Christian Commentary on Revelation).

Thank you to the Rev. Bryan Stecker, the host of the program, and, of course, to Dr. Weinrich!
