An Advent Wreath Lighting Tip

You pastors might have experienced this - over the years well meaning and dedicated acolytes (and the occasional elder) have lit the candles on the Advent wreath out of order, instead of starting opposite the Gaudete candle and moving clockwise. The way to stop that? If you have beeswax candles - flip them upside down like this…

Then they can’t be lit! (I took the follower off so you could see a little better.")

So we start out Advent with three candles upside down and make our way around, and it doesn’t get messed anymore.

Warning! Do not use this tip with oil candles!
