The above Chesterton quote is fitting to describe the ongoing work and ministry of the newly consecrated Finnish Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola.

In 1961, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) broke fellowship with the LCMS. They understood that there are impediments to church fellowship between our synods.

This is funny because it’s true. All too often, churches sound like the worst that corporate, bureaucratic America have to offer. It is as though we could all have corporate-speak bingo cards during district conventions and when we read various church publications.
